From the cable trench
to the asphalt.
Cable and fibre civil works, earthworks, road construction and landscaping. All with our own crew and machinery, as a subcontractor for general contractors and municipalities or directly for clients in the Neckar-Alb region.
-
Cable & fibre civil works
We open the surface, dig the cable trench, lay the sand bed, conduit and warning tape, backfill in layers and compact. Then the route is surveyed and the surface walkable again. This is our main business, mostly as a subcontractor in the fibre roll-out.
-
Excavation & earthworks
Excavation for building pits, foundations and house connections, stripping and levelling, backfill with the right material. With our own excavator, so no waiting for hire equipment.
-
Road construction & asphalt
After the cable is in, we close the surface: base course, asphalt laid and rolled, paving relaid, kerbs set. Afterwards the street looks like before, just with fibre underneath.
-
Landscaping
Paths, driveways, parking areas and grading around the house, often following earthworks or a house connection. Mostly requested by private clients in the region.
As a subcontractor
Anyone rolling out fibre needs one thing above all: civil works that keep pace. We have four answers to that.
-
Own crew
The same people on every site. The crew knows our routines, site management knows the crew. No agency workers who first need briefing.
-
Own machinery
Excavator, roller and paver are ours. If a machine fails, the replacement is in our yard, not at a rental company.
-
Scope fixed before the start
Where our trench begins and where the next trade takes over is settled before the first dig. That saves arguments at invoicing.
-
Handover with survey
Position and depth of the conduits are surveyed, the surface photographed before and after. Site management and the network operator get both with the handover.
Digital site
We use AI models for three jobs that otherwise eat evenings. The original document stays the basis, checking and approval stay with site management and crew.
-
Reading the bill of quantities
A language model pulls items, quantities and risk notes out of tender and bill of quantities and turns them into a task list for the crew.
-
Filing photos
Site photos and handwritten notes are matched to date, location and bill item automatically. Nothing stays on a phone.
-
Checking progress
Quantities, progress and open points can be queried at any time, in plain language, without waiting for the next status report.
Frequently asked questions
Does SOLDING work as a subcontractor?
Yes, that is our usual role. We take on the civil works for general contractors, municipalities and companies building for network operators, mainly in cable and fibre roll-out.
What does our scope include?
Cable trenches, conduit laying, earthworks, road and surface works and reinstating the surface. Exactly what is included is fixed per project before the start.
What do you need for a first assessment?
Location, task, rough length or area, type of surface, desired date and who else is involved: site management, network operator, following trade. A complete bill of quantities is not required.
Where do you work?
Mainly in the Neckar-Alb region: Eningen unter Achalm, Reutlingen and the district of Reutlingen. Larger projects across Baden-Württemberg are discussed case by case.
How quickly will I get an answer?
Usually on the next working day. For larger enquiries we first come back with questions, then with an assessment. A person always answers.
